What Have I Been Up To?

My parents have conceded to the fact that you all look at this blog to see me, so let me fill you in on what I have been doing. I am a master at climbing stairs, I can stand all on my own, chase after my kitty kitty or as I call him Ki Ki. Oh, I love my walker, but my parents don't have any pictures of me with it. They aren't the greatest at taking pictures of all my achievements, but hey nobody's perfect. I have three teeth, the fourth is really close to coming in. I love cheese, anything with bananas, peas and squash. Blueberries are a great addition to any meal. I have become the master of destruction, I mean dad needs something to do while moms at work right? Well here our some pictures my parents happened to remember to take. Enjoy!

Baby saves the Day!

So today I had a big presentation in my advanced estimating class. I and two of my classmates had to meet with a board of faculty members and discuss how we came up with our estimate and so on. Well the meeting was supposed to be only twenty minutes long, and since that was my only class of the day it was pointless to take Ryan to a babysitter. So as I entered the room I told them all it was bring your daughter to work day, then I sat her in the corner with one of her toys. She sat quietly in the corner for about the first 10 minutes, and then she decided to venture off. She crawled right over to the head of my department's chair and pulled herself up into a standing position and just gave him the sweetest puppy dog look. He looked down and just scooped her up and played with her during the remainder of our meeting. Afterwards all the teachers turned to him and just wanted to hold Ryan. They all kept on commenting on how she was just the cutest baby and if they could hold her. They did not mention anything about our presentation, so I asked my teacher how we did, and he said, "Well you brought the goods, but she sold the material."

Personal Trainer

Ryan is helping Willie kick it in high gear as his personal trainer. She gets him out of bed and out on a run every morning. She gives positive encouragement from the deluxe seat of her jogging stroller. Since it seems as though winter is around the corner here in good ol' Rexburg (averaging just over freezing in the mornings), Ryan needed some warmer digs for the daily workout. Now who wouldn't want this little munchkin for a personal trainer?

I know we have been lazy and there is no excuse!

I know I know, it has been quite a while since the last time we blogged so I will catch you all up to speed. As of the beginning of May Malerie has moved in with us to be our Nanny, and she is fantastic by the way, but you can't have her so neener neener neener. I have been spending the last two months doing an internship for my major. I am working for a surveying company so I get to spend a lot of quality time outside, which really would not be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that we are still seeing regular snowfall. 4 inches on Wednesday up in Island Park where I have been working a lot lately. Nicole, as ever, is the real trooper in this household. She makes the money, bakes the bread, does the laundry, budgets the money, keeps the babies in line (and there are multiple babies in this house), and still manages to look like a million bucks. There is no need to tell you all that I married up, way up. So today is her 26th birthday!! yay!! So if you think Nikoliolipoki is pretty cool you better send her a quick little comment. If that is too hard you can just send her a $1000 in the mail (all checks are to be made out to W M Elmer). Ryan is about as cool as babies get. Every day she shows some new personality trait. One of her real funny quirks is that she just loves Guitar Hero. Every time we start playing she can't help but wiggle her little butt around and shake her feet and giggle. She especially like the Kaiser Chief's song "Ruby", which we have changed to "Ryan". So a few weeks ago the sun decided to emerge for a day so Nicole and I went to buy a hat for Ryan. We wanted one that had a brim that went around her whole head, well anyway I am just going to post a picture of the only hat for little girls that we could find in the tri-state area. It is just ridiculous.
So Ryan is rolling over now, but she really doesn't like doing it for daddy, so he has only seen it happen once, but mom and aunt Mally say she does it all of the time. She has also taken to jumping up onto ledges and just sitting there and commenting on our cooking techniques. So her 4 month doctor's appointment was this past monday, and she clocked in at a whole 24 inches in length and 11 lbs, 11 oz. She just struts around all the other babies and says "don't hate me because I'm Beautiful". As of late our favorite nickname for her is "mon-chi-chi", you might remember those adorable little hairy monkey dolls from the eighties who sucked on there thumbs. She is not exactly hairy, and she doesn't suck on her thumb, but she does act like a little monkey. though if she is in a bad mood, which does happen on occasion we dub her "crankerpants". The best part about her being in crankerpants mode is that it is usually because she is hungry, and if you are holding her facing towards you she will lung at your open fleshy neck mouth gapping open and just gum it to death. all the while squaking like some kind of baby demon vampire. Oh yeah Marley really likes binky's.

So that in a nutshell is what we have been up to as of late, we will do better in the near future!

Ain't Nothin but A G-thang Baby!

So our cat Marley is the biggest wannabe on the planet. Nicole must of been blarin' some Snoop Dogg or Tupac recently, because now all K-man (that's Marley's Gangsta name) wants to do is be a thug. Here he is caught in the act practicing his lowrider techniques. This is one bad Kitty that you just don't wanna mess with. YOU FEEL ME!?

Happy Birthday Mom!!

Happy Birthday Mom!! Well your getting to that wonderful age where senior discounts are aplenty. I hope dad takes you out on the town. Most likely you have some busy meetings that are keeping you from doing anything. Well Ryan just wanted you to know that she was thinking of you. We love you and miss you!!

Like Mother Like Daughter

So my mom found an old dress of hers. She claims she wore it when she was my age. I have yet to see pictures of her in it though. Maybe she doesn't want to make me feel bad for looking cuter in it then she did. Really it isn't her fault that she isn't as cute in it, I just happen to be the cutest thing on the planet.

Also another thing my mom and I have in common, besides wearing the same clothes is we both love to snuggle my daddy. He is really tired in this picture, it is finals week and he was beat. On another note I turned 2 months yesterday. I am now 9lbs 1oz and 21 inches long. Man I am getting big.

Wake up MOMMY and DADDY it's time for Conference!!

So this morning we wake up to Ryan just yelling us to wake up because we are going to end up sleeping through General Conference, and that she does not want to miss her first General Conference ever. Ok, so maybe this is staged, or maybe she is a genious baby, you will have to figure out that for yourself. Either way she is dang cute!
Just chillin' with my Homies

Thank You Grammy!

Grammy, thank you for the lovely Easter dress, everyone thought that I was just the bell of the ball. Daddy is a little too far away in this picture to see the real cuteness so I'll have him take a closer picture.

That's a little better but I still think you need to get closer...

Whoa Daddy! I think that's a little too close.

Ryan and Twinkle BFF

I introduced Ryan and Twinkle yestarday and it was love at first sight. If Ryan is crying about anything but being hungry I can just call Twinkle on over to sing and snuggle her she calms right down. Ryan returns the favor by trying to eat Twinkle, I don't know if it is a fair trade but I guess it works for them.

Time Out!

I just wanted to take time out of my day to wish my mother a very happy birthday. So Happy Birthday Mom! (shes the one in the red) Thanks for teaching me how to be a strong woman and how to love unconditionally. I appreciate the way you raised me to be independent and the love you give to me and my little family. You are an amazing woman. I mean you even give your little dogs birthday parties.
