I know we have been lazy and there is no excuse!

I know I know, it has been quite a while since the last time we blogged so I will catch you all up to speed. As of the beginning of May Malerie has moved in with us to be our Nanny, and she is fantastic by the way, but you can't have her so neener neener neener. I have been spending the last two months doing an internship for my major. I am working for a surveying company so I get to spend a lot of quality time outside, which really would not be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that we are still seeing regular snowfall. 4 inches on Wednesday up in Island Park where I have been working a lot lately. Nicole, as ever, is the real trooper in this household. She makes the money, bakes the bread, does the laundry, budgets the money, keeps the babies in line (and there are multiple babies in this house), and still manages to look like a million bucks. There is no need to tell you all that I married up, way up. So today is her 26th birthday!! yay!! So if you think Nikoliolipoki is pretty cool you better send her a quick little comment. If that is too hard you can just send her a $1000 in the mail (all checks are to be made out to W M Elmer). Ryan is about as cool as babies get. Every day she shows some new personality trait. One of her real funny quirks is that she just loves Guitar Hero. Every time we start playing she can't help but wiggle her little butt around and shake her feet and giggle. She especially like the Kaiser Chief's song "Ruby", which we have changed to "Ryan". So a few weeks ago the sun decided to emerge for a day so Nicole and I went to buy a hat for Ryan. We wanted one that had a brim that went around her whole head, well anyway I am just going to post a picture of the only hat for little girls that we could find in the tri-state area. It is just ridiculous.
So Ryan is rolling over now, but she really doesn't like doing it for daddy, so he has only seen it happen once, but mom and aunt Mally say she does it all of the time. She has also taken to jumping up onto ledges and just sitting there and commenting on our cooking techniques. So her 4 month doctor's appointment was this past monday, and she clocked in at a whole 24 inches in length and 11 lbs, 11 oz. She just struts around all the other babies and says "don't hate me because I'm Beautiful". As of late our favorite nickname for her is "mon-chi-chi", you might remember those adorable little hairy monkey dolls from the eighties who sucked on there thumbs. She is not exactly hairy, and she doesn't suck on her thumb, but she does act like a little monkey. though if she is in a bad mood, which does happen on occasion we dub her "crankerpants". The best part about her being in crankerpants mode is that it is usually because she is hungry, and if you are holding her facing towards you she will lung at your open fleshy neck mouth gapping open and just gum it to death. all the while squaking like some kind of baby demon vampire. Oh yeah Marley really likes binky's.

So that in a nutshell is what we have been up to as of late, we will do better in the near future!

Hey Nicolio HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We really missed your blog this past month though I have been no better on mine as you can see...I love the commentary on the antics of Miss Ryan and I think Will is ready to write a children's book called the "The Adventures of the Amazing Miss Ryan" Her looks are sooo funny especially the one in the new hat... it looks like you forced her into wearing it and when she looked into the mirror she couldn't believe what insensitive parents she had to allow her to leave the house in that hat!...I am also amazed at Marley's ability to fetch binkies--such a clever household! Now if you can just train Malerie to fetch a cute guy as easily! Good luck! We love you and miss you and if I forget happy anniversary early!

Happy B-day Nicole. Your birthday money went to fill my van up, sorry! You guys are like me. My blog has taken the back seat. I can't believe how cute Ryan is. They change so quickly. She has got some skills sitting on that ledge. She is too smart! It was fun to catch up on your blog!

First of all, I can't believe this blog didn't show up for me until today! (Trust me, I check multiple times a day.) Secondly, Nicole, I can't believe how skinny you have gotten! I am jealous (for when I'm not pregnant, anyway...don't really have control of my belly atm). Thirdly, Ryan is so cute! Is she actually sitting by herself on the ledge? If so, she's taking after her handsome, older cousin Jaden. Anywho - I can't wait to see you guys in a few weeks! (And it better be more than just my baby shower, mmm hmm!)

Well, Will, I hope you did something special for Nic for her birthday. Who's ducking behind the counter and holding Ryan up? I bet my money on Malerie.

I must also add that in the first picture (well, all of them, but very much so in the first) Ryan looks EXACTLY like Willie. Holy cow!
